Products

Products Module

The Products module allows you to manage goods and services offered by your organization. It includes features for adding, editing, and tracking products, along with categorizing them based on type and unit.

Overview of the Products Page

• Product Image: Display or upload an image of the product (optional).
• Product Name: The name of the product or service.
• Price (Inclusive of All Taxes): The selling price, including any applicable taxes.
• Stock on Hand: Indicates the quantity of the product available in inventory (if inventory tracking is enabled).
• Unit Type: Specifies the measurement unit for the product (e.g., pieces, kilograms).
• Client Purchase Status: Determines if the product can be purchased by clients (Allowed/Not Allowed).
• Status: Displays the current status of the product (Active/Inactive).

Adding a New Product

1. Click on the Add Product button to open the product creation form.
2. Fill in the following fields:
   • Type: Select whether the item is a Good or a Service.
   • Name: Enter the product name.
   • SKU: Provide the Stock Keeping Unit for the product (optional).
   • Product Category: Assign the product to a relevant category (optional).
   • Product Sub-Category: Further classify the product under a sub-category (optional).
   • Unit Type: Select the unit of measurement (e.g., pieces).
   • Selling Price: Enter the price at which the product is sold to clients.
   • Cost Price: Enter the cost of procuring the product (optional).
   • Tax: Assign applicable tax rates for the product (optional).
   • Inventory Tracking: Enable this option to track stock levels (optional).
   • Description: Add additional details about the product (optional).
   • Purchase Information: Check this box if the product is available for purchase by clients.
   • Downloadable: For digital products, check this box to enable downloads.
3. Click on the Save button to add the product to your catalog.

Importing and Exporting Products

The Products module allows bulk management through import and export features:

• Import: Upload a CSV file containing product details to bulk add or update products.
• Export: Download the existing product catalog as a CSV file for offline use or reporting.

Editing and Managing Products

To edit a product:

1. Locate the product in the Products table.
2. Click on the action button (⋮) next to the product.
3. Select Edit and update the required fields.
4. Save the changes to reflect updates immediately.

Status Management

You can activate or deactivate products based on their availability. Use the status dropdown in the product table to switch between Active and Inactive states.

Filtering and Searching Products

To quickly locate a product, use the search bar or filter options available on the Products page. Filters include:

• Product Category
• Sub-Category
• Unit Type
• Product Type
